About GS Civil
Originally established in 1990 by our father Roy Spraakman GS Civil began primarily as a stormwater maintenance business that branched into all aspects of Civil Construction as opportunites arose, and as Dean and Ryan (Roy’s sons) joined the business in 2005 bringing their own skills and expertise with them the business grew into the all round Civil Construction business it is today catering for all local government council needs. GS Civil is now owned and operated by Ryan and Dean Spraakman being a local family owned and operated business. GS Civil is a quality assured company that has been delivering high quality construction projects to local councils for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on being a local family business that sources materials locally and sustainably, as well as being a Climate Positive company through ‘On a Mission’.
We run a core team of 11-12 employees, all of which live locally, have young families of their own and have great skills and experience in the Civil Construction Industry, with some employees working with us for over 13 years.

GS Civil is now owned and operated by Ryan and Dean Spraakman — a proudly local, family-owned and operated business. GS Civil is a quality-assured company that has been delivering high-quality construction projects to local councils for over 30 years. GS Civil is a CCF Systems Certified Contractor. Our systems are aligned with JAS-ANZ for quality, and we are certified as a Climate Positive Company with On a Mission offsetting our omissions by 150%.
